1) The research topic is "The Evolution Role of the School Librarian under the Education Reform of the Senior Secondary School in Hong Kong".
I will look at how the perspective of the principal, other teachers and the school librarian affect the effectivenss to carry out the new role under the new Senior Secondary School.

2) One school will be selected to be the subject. The research is conducted as an action research.

3) The significant of this rearch is that the senior secondary schools is undergoing tremendous change. It has a great impact on the whole school. Hence, the role of teachers have to be changed as well. How about the librarain? The new NSS emphasis resource based learning, this is for the school librarian to fulfilled this aim. Thus, the role of the librarian have to make change. At school, some literature reviews say that the support and positive perspective from school partners affect the effectiveness of the new role of the libraian. Thus, in this study we want to look at how this impact the implementation on the new role of the school librarian under the NSS, at the same time affect the students' learning.

4) Interview will be conducted. And based on literature reveiw to review the situation in Hong Kong.

I have scanned via the article. It is using the Activity approach to interpret the contradictions found within various system in school context in Singapore. Should we apply this into Schools in HK. But I am not familiarize with the Activity Approach. BTW, I have attempt to look at others possible topics, they are:
1) a comparison of the role between IT teacher and librarian in the same setting
2) the effect of the collaboration between teachers and librarian
3) the emerging library media centre
4)the evolution of the role of librarian
5) Participation of librarian in curriculum development

Actually there are numerous topics we can try on, see which of the above interest you or any other alternatives.
