Research Topics Suggested by Jen

I have scanned via the article. It is using the Activity approach to interpret the contradictions found within various system in school context in Singapore. Should we apply this into Schools in HK. But I am not familiarize with the Activity Approach. BTW, I have attempt to look at others possible topics, they are:
1) a comparison of the role between IT teacher and librarian in the same setting
2) the effect of the collaboration between teachers and librarian
3) the emerging library media centre
4)the evolution of the role of librarian
5) Participation of librarian in curriculum development

Actually there are numerous topics we can try on, see which of the above interest you or any other alternatives.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Nite,
Jen

Thank you for Jen's suggestions. I think most of them are interesting and workable. As Amei is the first year in Hong Kong, she does not know much about the librarian’s role in Hong Kong secondary school, then I revise you suggested topic a bit so that she can contribute her own experience and knowledge. Her undergraduate’s major is library management in Dailian Normal University, so I think her knowledge about the setting and principle about secondary school in Mainland is special and interesting.

1) a comparison of the role between secondary school librarian in the secondary school in Hong Kong and Mainland
2) The effect of the collaboration between teachers and l secondary school librarian
3) The emerging library media centre in Hong Kong and Mainland
4) The evolution of the role of secondary school librarian in Hong Kong and Mainland
5) Participation of librarian in curriculum development

As I am now working in a administrative office in CUHK, I think I can contribute my administration experience and read more theories to contribute our research.

Cheers,
Jessica
